An Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry (APAAR) ID, which is also referred to as “One Nation, One Student ID”, was launched by the Ministry of Education in 2023. By February 2024, about 25 crore students had registered to receive their APAAR IDs, the government stated in a press release.
