Poco M6 Plus 5G and Poco Buds X1 are scheduled to launch in India on August 1. The company has teased the design and key features of both the smartphone and the true wireless stereo (TWS) earphones. Previous reports have also hinted at expected features of the handset, which is speculated to be a rebranded Redmi 13 5G. Now, alleged retail boxes of the devices have leaked online suggesting the design of the phone as well as the TWS earphones including their charging case.

Poco M6 Plus 5G, Poco Buds X1 Retail Boxes Leak

Tipster Yogesh Brar leaked the retail box images of the devices in a post on X. The Poco M6 Plus 5G appears in a blue colourway. Notably, the phone has already been confirmed to come in a Graphite Black shade and teased in a third purple option. The layout of the rear camera module appears to be similar to the Redmi 13 5G, with two circular camera units arranged vertically in the top left corner alongside an LED flash unit.

Meanwhile, the Poco Buds X1 are seen in a white colourway, with a yellow shade inside the magnetic charging case. The earbuds are placed vertically within the case which suggests that the charging points are placed at the bottom of the stem of each earbud. A thin strip of LED panel also appears on the case which is likely to indicate the battery and charging levels of the earphones.

Poco M6 Plus 5G Features (Expected)

The tipster adds in his post that the Poco M6 Plus 5G will likely sport a 6.8-inch LCD screen and carry a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 AE (accelerated edition) SoC, which the company has already confirmed. Notably, this is the same chipset that the Redmi 13 5G carries.

Poco M6 Plus 5G is expected to be backed by a 5,030mAh battery. The company has teased that it will be equipped with a dual rear camera unit, including a 108-megapixel main sensor with 3x in-sensor zoom support. These features back the speculation that the phone could be a rebranded Redmi 13 5G.

Poco Buds X1 Features

The Poco Buds X1 have been confirmed to feature an in-ear design with silicone tips and 12.4mm dynamic titanium drivers. They are also claimed to offer up to 40dB hybrid active noise cancellation (ANC) and a quad mic system with AI-backed environmental noise cancellation (ENC). The company has announced that these TWS earphones will be compatible with the Xiaomi Earbuds app.

Horror isn't a strong suit for Indian filmmakers, with overly dramatic camera angles, cheap jump scares, and cringe writing dominating the genre, but Vikram Bhatt's latest horror thriller, Bloody Ishq, somehow manages to stoop further. The film has all the trademarks of a poor horror flick, plus very shoddy CGI overused beyond reason. Bhatt has utilised visual effects not just to portray ghouls and possessed humans, but even for seemingly simple and routine shots. Bloody Ishq's lackluster VFX ends up working against the film, breaking all possible tension and taking the thrills out of the horror thriller.

While I didn't have high hopes from the movie to deliver the scares effectively, I did not expect it to be the intolerable visual nightmare that it turned out to be, especially since Bhatt has in the past delivered decent films from the horror genre.

story 1 bloody ishq

Bloody Ishq's pacing is torturous, with long stretches of boring exposition

Bloody Ishq starts with Avika Gor's character drowning in the ocean, with her fate left unclear. In just the next scene, however, we find her in a hospital – all dolled up – with many months wiped from her memory. Soon, she is taken to an isolated, luxurious Scottish villa by a man (Vardhaan Puri) claiming to be her husband.

Within the first ten minutes, Gor's Neha goes into a frenzied fit about why she can't feel love for this man (umm... because you have amnesia and don't remember anything about him?), casts suspicion on him, only to start trusting him immediately after spending the night with him. Okay, Mr. Bhatt, please stop churning out ridiculous ideas on how to gaslight women?

This is just the beginning of a very problematic storyline, filled with absurd dialogue and unhinged scenes. There is a sequence where a spirit possesses a ghost hunter, and her partner keeps filming, instead of helping her. We also see a husband trying to soothe his almost maniacal wife by suggesting they take the matter to the bedroom. To make matters worse, almost every character in the movie forcefully slips in English words within their conversations, seemingly to establish the movie as a modern-day tale, unlike Bhatt's precious work that's partial to the 1920s.

story 5 bloody ishq

Even mundane scenes in the movie appear to be sloppily edited

We see Neha entertaining an outright creepy woman who keeps making mysterious appearances in her house, instead of getting the security tightened. One can't help wondering if amnesia not just erased her memories, but common sense as well. Throughout the film's 140-minute runtime, you'll see her trusting every suspicious character she comes across.

The twisted version of the truth that she has accepted takes more turns than a merry-go-round every ten minutes. The only sane decision she makes is in the film's last scene.

story 4 bloody ishq

The film fails to deliver any genuine frights

In a hurry to establish the urgency and restlessness gripping the protagonist, Bhatt has compromised heavily with the tone, starting the film on a wrong note. What could have easily been slipped into the story later for a more natural flow, forms the thrust of the story from the beginning. Gor's daily soap-style performance doesn't help, either, with the film suffering from overacting.

Bhatt's direction fails to establish tension, making the scares predictable and ineffective. The CGI is laughable, with poorly rendered ghosts and possessed humans. Bloody Ishq is hard to recommend for a casual watch, and perhaps harder to suggest to fans of the horror genre. The only things scary about Bloody Ishq are its torturous pace, pathetic CGI, and overly dramatic performances that become nightmares in their own right. Avoid Bloody Ishq at all costs; your sanity will thank you.

Several cryptocurrencies saw their prices rise on the crypto price chart on Friday, including the world's most widely used digital assets — Bitcoin and Ether. Bitcoin price rose by 4.33 percent over the last 24 hours to trade at $66,945 (roughly Rs. 56 lakh) on international exchanges like CoinMarketCap. The value of BTC on Indian exchanges is still fluctuating in the aftermath of the WazirX hack. At the time of writing, Bitcoin was priced between the range of $53,785 (roughly Rs. 45 lakh) and $71,800 (roughly Rs. 60 lakh) on Indian exchanges.

“BTC has rebounded strongly from its weekly losses, driven by positive momentum and the kick-off of a Bitcoin conference yesterday. The asset is now consolidating within an ascending channel. This suggests that its upward trend remains intact, and investor profitability is currently positive,” Vikram Subburaj, CEO, Giottus told Gadgets360.

Ether also rose by 2.08 percent during the same period. At the time of writing, ETH was trading at $3,247 (roughly Rs. 2.71 lakh) on international exchanges. In India, Ether's price varies within the range of $2,554 (roughly Rs. 2.12 lakh) and $3,540 (roughly Rs. 2.96 lakh).

“Substantial outflows from the Grayscale Ethereum Trust (ETHE) have caused ETH to trade lowly despite small gains. Investors are increasingly worried about regulatory scrutiny and unfavourable market conditions, leading to a noticeable shift in sentiment,” the CoinSwitch Markets Desk told Gadgets360.

Binance Coin, Solana, Ripple, Dogecoin, Cardano, and Avalanche increased in value.

Shiba Inu, Polkadot, Chainlink, and Litecoin prices rose alongside Bitcoin and Ether, but Qtum, Status, Circuits of Value, and Near Protocol prices fell on Friday.

“Bitcoin has traded sideways, while other altcoins are down significantly. Solana and its ecosystem tokens remain strong. Volatility is expected to remain high with today's PCE Price Index data announcement,” the CoinDCX markets team told Gadgets360. “China's surprise rate cut and the steepening of the US Treasury yield curve signalled panic,” Avinash Shekhar, Co-founder and CEO, Pi42 told Gadgets360.

The overall crypto market cap rose by 3.27 percent over the last 24 hours. With this, the crypto market cap has come to $2.39 trillion (roughly Rs. 2,00,099 crore).

The Realme 13 Pro series is set to launch in India and globally on July 30. The lineup will include the Realme 13 Pro and the 13 Pro+. Realme has been teasing the phones on social media and has also given away some details. At an event in Thailand earlier this month, the company showcased the AI features on the Realme 13 Pro series that'll help enhance the camera.

We got to try out one of the phones ahead of launch and test out the AI camera features. Below, I'll be talking about the AI Eraser and the AI Ultra Clarity features specifically. I'll be sharing some before and after photos of the tools in action to see how well they perform. While I cannot give you more details about the phone, I can tell you that I used the Realme 13 Pro+ to test the AI features.

Realme 13 Pro+ Cameras

Before talking about the AI features, I'll talk briefly about the camera hardware. The Realme 13 Pro+ has a triple rear camera setup that's an upgrade in some ways over last year's 12 Pro+. The new phone has a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-701 primary rear camera with an f/1.88 and OIS. Another 50-megapixel Sony LYT-600 sensor performs telephoto duties with 3x optical zoom support. Now, Realme says that this is a periscope camera, but I did not find any periscope contraption for the lens system. Finally, there's an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera as well.

I won't talk about the camera performance as such since that'll be available in our full review. However, I clicked a lot of pictures on the phone and tried out the AI Eraser and the AI Ultra Clarity tools. Realme has used the term ‘HyperImage+' for the camera system and stated that the AI features make the output better. Let's find out.

Realme 13 Pro+ AI Eraser Feature

The Realme 13 Pro+ comes with an AI Eraser feature that's common in most flagship phones these days. Google was one of the first to widely popularise it via their Pixel phones. I tested the feature on multiple photos, and I must say, the results were pretty good. More than the results, I loved the animation that happens when AI erases. You feel like Thanos evaporating life form in Avengers: Infinity War.

Anyway, the results are pretty good, like I said, the AI manages to remove most things in one go. Sometimes it does take 2-3 tries to get rid of objects and people. I tried the tool on people as well as plenty of other objects, such as vehicles, plants, and more. It worked flawlessly most of the time. However, you do need an active internet connection to use the feature. Check out some samples below.

AI Eraser feature on Realme 13 Pro+ [Tap to Expand]

Realme 13 Pro+ AI Ultra Clarity Feature

Next, the AI Ultra Clarity feature on the Realme 13 Pro+ is claimed to ‘enhance the resolution and increase the clarity' of blurry photos. Once again, I tried this feature on the phone with zoomed-in shots in 6x and 10x digital zoom and found it to be somewhat effective in improving clarity. See some examples below.

AI Ultra Clarity works most of the time. [Tap to Expand]

I found the AI Ultra Clarity feature to mostly remove all the noise from an image. However, when it comes to making a blurry image clearer, removing noise doesn't do a lot. Zoomed-in images of text were less readable after the AI did its work. In some instances, this did work well and produced a cleaner image, but most of the time, the difference wasn't massive.

The AI tag for the camera on the Realme 13 Pro+ is not simply there because ‘AI' is a buzzword in the industry right now. The features do work, and I found them to be just as impressive as something you'd find on Google's Magic Eraser or Samsung's Galaxy AI.
